At a trade show, the box and the pouch are the "face" most easily overlooked. A lot of factories pour their energy into the big backdrop, then hand a crumpled plastic bag to the visitor at the front. We have stood at several jewelry shows and noticed the booths that staged and gave out boxes and pouches with care pulled noticeably more leads. Start with staging. We set a row of rounded-corner premium jewelry boxes upright—leather-wrapped with a metal button, color and logo both customizable. The box is the sample itself; upright you see how crisp it holds its shape, and the visitor can open it to check the lining. Next to it we pile velvet drawstring pouches in white, black, pink and blue, with knotted drawstring ends and a foil logo on the body. Light and compact, they sit in a small stack at the corner as a take-away. Counter height matters too. The row of upright boxes should sit around chest level so the visitor can open one without bending. The velvet pouches at the corner should not be packed tight—the drawstrings stretch out of shape. We keep a loose pile of about a dozen, scattered rather than neatly stacked, because people have a natural urge to grab what is loose. Don't crowd the upright boxes, either; leave half a finger's width between the rounded leather boxes so a customer opening one doesn't knock over its neighbour. We have seen booths stack the boxes edge to edge, and the whole row tumbles when one is picked up—the first impression already frayed. Giving out samples has its own etiquette. We don't recommend tossing boxes and pouches into one basket for visitors to grab. The proper split: the one who came to source gets a box, the one just passing gets a pouch. The box is the "real sample," the pouch is "a small keepsake." This is where the organza gift bag earns its place—semi-transparent gauze with a ribbon bow and pearl flower, in wine red or sky blue, holding a foil tag with the factory name and the show dates. The visitor carries it without awkwardness and later uses it for small items. Don't fall for the oversized bag, either. The organza bag is pretty but sags at the bottom if loaded. We put only a tag and a card inside, never a box—the box has its own weight and would burst the bag first. For client sample bags Shengyixiang keeps it plain-coloured organza with a stiff tag; it holds its shape in the hand and doubles as a jewelry pouch at home, and its reorder rate beats the loud versions. Timing of the giveaway matters too: we push boxes hard in the first two hours after opening, when visitors still have the patience to stop and check the lining, then switch to pouches toward closing because they are light to carry off. Spend the energy where it counts rather than handing things out all day. The trade has shifted in recent years. Older show pouches were printed all over with contact details, loud and busy. Now it is more restrained: one logo on the bag, the information on the tag. The plans we build for clients follow this—plain bag, heavy tag, the QR code on the back of the tag, scan to reach the detail page. Box and pouch are one family. At the booth the box speaks of quality, the pouch of decency; only with both does the visitor believe you are a packaging maker, not a reseller. The booths that hand out only flyers end the three days clutching a stack of paper and the fewest real customers. This is original content. Copyright belongs to Shengyixiang.
